Tri-Band, Dual-Mode CDMA/PCS/GPS LGA RF Subsystem
Complete RF subsystem (LGA packaged devices) for tri-band (800, 1500, and 1900 MHz), dual-mode CDMA
handsets with GPS capability.
Skyworks tri-band, dual-mode LGA RF subsystem provides a cost-effective and highly integrated solution for CDMA wireless applications with GPS processing capability. This direct conversion system eliminates the IF filters and provides integrated UHF VCOs and PLLs in small form factor Land Grid Array (LGA) packages.
The Tri-band, Dual-mode CDMA/PCs/GPS LGA RF Subsystem features:
- Four-step LNA gain control for both CDMA and PCS bands
- GPS LNA
- Low power consumption in all operating modes including sleep operation
- Independent CDMA, GPS, and PCS mixers
- Fully integrated and auto-tuned baseband channel filters
- Internal, automated tuning of the synthesizer
- Transmit power control with 90 dB dynamic range
The Tri-Band, Dual-Mode CDMA/PCS/GPS LGA RF Subsystem consists of:
- SKY74100-11 Receiver – a direct conversion CDMA receiver containing all the components needed to implement the receiver chain from the LNA output to I/Q demodulator stages
- SKY74068-11 Transmitter– a single-supply, highly integrated transmitter that incorporates all transmit functions from I/Q analog signal inputs to both PCS and cellular PA drivers
- SKY74092 LNA– a high linearity, low noise figure dual-band amplifier for CDMA and PCS bands
Either of the following PAs can be combined with the three-chip subsystem for tri-band, dual-mode CDMA/PCS/GPS handsets:
- SKY77163 Power Amplifier – compact PA with high power-added efficiency and power-down control for CDMA applications
- SKY77164 Power Amplifier– fully matched, compact 3 x 3 mm PA for PCS applications
